This might be the coolest thing I've seen. Not even something I would have thought I wanted, but now I need.

Very cool!

Thanks for sharing.

This IS the coolest mod I've seen. Only thing I've done electrically was tap into the digital signal of the stock Sony amp so I can run my own amps and speakers without all the equalization and add an LED light on the dash that come on when any one of the front or rear seat heaters come on in case they are left on by mistake. But I really like this mod. Thanks for sharing.

Great mod. Should have been available this way from the factory. Fitment is excellent too.

Could we ask you what the part numbers are for the paddles and wiring harness? My hat is off to you and your ingenuity. This is one of the best up grades I have seen and you sir have made it look like a factory installation. Do you have any pics of the dremel work you had to do? One other thing, do you have to put the shifter into S to make the paddles work?
Thanks for any help

You have heated rear seats in your Escape?

Yes: Only works in S. You retain shifter rocker functionality.
And Marcboris, you can do this. Got a dremel?

Yes sir, I have a dremel and I have been thinking about this all day. This is right up my ally as I love to do wiring and electronic tinkering. I have to say, I do use my gear shift mounted switch a lot since I live in the mountains and constantly drive on windy roads and it would not be feasible for me to shift using paddle shifters when the wheel is constantly being turned back and forth. The gear shift switche is perfect for me. BUT then there are times when I would love to have them on the steering wheel so being able to use them in both places would be awesome. I would rather have black switches so I am going to venture into seeing what I can come up with that way. I am going to start with the paddle switches on a Fusion steering wheel. They are only $25 each and not sure about the fit but I ordered them and will be checking this out. I am on holiday in Florida but when I return next week, I will get on this.

Ducatisto, I have heated rear seats but they obviously did not come factory. I installed them myself when I had the all leather Katzkin seats covers installed.
