Anyone tried to add a spoiler yet?

Thinking about doing one of these:
Ford Escape Spoiler Painted Lifetime Warranty 3M Install All Colors | eBay

It's a tape install, but there's also a screw install from another company, but I'm not really big on the idea breaking paint to install it.

There are quite a few of us that have installed these spoilers on this forum. I bought mine from the first link that is in your post. Was very happy with the paint. Matched perfectly. I did also use the screws supplied (drilled holes into the top of the lift gate) besides the two way tape but if I did it again, I would just use the tape with some silicone glue in specific areas. Here is a photo of mine:

Just like the color poll on this forum they don't list sunset metallic. I'm getting a complex.

I can't bring myself to trust double-side tape for this job. If that thing flies off on a highway run and hits another car there would be hell to pay...
I am looking for one with screws. Any links?

This is where I bought mine. The paint job was perfect and packed very well. It has built in threaded nuts (2) in the fiberglas spoiler so it can be attached with screws as well as the two way foam tape it comes with. I did install it with the screws but of course had to remove the interior hatch trim panel and drill through a double steel panel in the top of the lift gate. I really think that instead of going through all of that you could just use a silicone glue in addition to the two way tape.

Thanks for the link, markboris.
Can you give any info on change of airflow for rain or dust on the back glass? I've had my '14 only a couple of weeks so don't know of rain splatter or airflow problems (or not).

My question relates more to keeping the rear glass clean than to the great looks it imparts.

Well, as far as I can tell, the rear glass does not stay any cleaner. It gets dirty right away right after washing the window. I don't think there is any difference as far as the window getting dirty faster or not. There is no wind noise that I can tell. I have no problem with water pooling up on top of the lift gate when washing it either. I only added the spoiler for looks. I like the look of it because I think it finishes off the back but this is a personal opinion of course.

It says to call for additional colors, I bet the have it and don't want to go to the trouble of changing their add for a couple of colors.

I think Mark is right, if you get the surface real clean use a generous portion of RVT silicone in the spaces in between the tape, and had the 3m tape their to hold it until the silicone dried, and let set up over night you probably couldent get it off if you wanted to.
