what type of Engine Coolant/Ant-Freeze to use

I drive a S model escape 2013.
and my engine coolant level is almost at the minimum.
is there a specific type, brand, color of engine coolant/anti-freeze for my
2.5L engine.

Check your owners manual and you'll find the info you need. I did it for you this time:

Owner Guide

I'm curious do you have a leak?

If you fill it up and it goes empty again I would have it checked out. You are likely leaking somewhere. You can go to Ford and buy the OEM coolant or just go to a local parts store and buy coolant there. I think as long as its compatible with ford it should work with the Escape.

You could also just add water. Its half water anyways. In small amounts it won't really mess the ratios up.

You have a warranty. Why are you worried about this at all? Let the dealer deal with it!

If you do this you should use distilled water. A few ounces will not hurt.

Or as noted in a previous thread:
Engine coolant (2.0L EcoBoost) 9.7 qt (9.2 L)
Motorcraft Orange Antifreeze / Coolant Prediluted VC-3DIL-B (U.S.) CVC-3DIL-B (Canada) / WSS-M97B44-D2

Are you sure its at the minimum mark and just the cold mark? If you overfill it, and it gets hot, it will expand and go through the overflow and be right back at the cold mark the next morning.

I meant to say, "Are you sure it's at the minimum mark and not the Full Cold mark?"

Because if you fill it to Full hot when it's cold its going to spew antifreeze everywhere once it warms up.

Garage
I would stick to Motorcraft antifreeze, there isn't much savings going 3rd party.

I usually fill it up full when it is cold. The overflow container doesn't go up from that mark even when its hot.
