Like that, and I think I'm gonna steal it.

Spent some time overseas, and many years in a country that uses that acronym!

If you already have a K&N filter (closed end), or any other filter, you can contact K&N and order the airbox lid only. Cost you about $15.00. Then spend another $5.50 and buy the air horn for a Focus ST, and remove the Escape's snorkel & replace it with the ST air horn. Don't know about more HP or MPG yet, but definitely improved throttle response.

How can you gain 19hp and 22lb-ft of torque without a tune? I mean if those numbers are accurate that's a heck of a deal..it's just really difficult to believe.

Seriously though, can anybody confirm the 19hp 22tq? They show the same intake on the focus ST at like 7hp and I think 9tq gain..

Yeah, I might try and contact K&N and ask them what's up..

That would put them both making nearly identical hp/tq numbers with the intake, Escape and ST.
240+19=259
252+7=259

But the dynos look very different.

THe 2.0 in the E and the ST make almost the same with same mods. If you look into the tunes and big HP e's on this forum you will see some dyno'd with ST's and their numbers matched the ST's pretty close.

The graphs look different as the ST was dyno'd in 3rd and the E was dyno'd in 2nd.

I wonder why they would dyno the Escape in 2nd. Don't you want the ratio closest to 1:1? Which is actually 5th gear.. I must be wrong. I never hear of 4th or 5th gear pulls.
