Fair enough for an Escape with only 700 miles on it, I'd expect that MPG number to climb within the next 500-1000 miles.

I have SE 1.6 FWD, current combined mpg 27.0. Mileage 5700, mostly highway miles. Anxious to get it back -- it's sitting on the dealer lot due to the recall. (

Did they say when you can expect to get back your Escape?

I hope they gave you a nice rental

i live in ontario and when i do 70 -75 it says im getting 25 with the 2.0 but if i set the cruise at the speed limit here is 60 i get 42 mpg takes 20 min driving to register but as soon as you play around with the turbo it really loves the gas i have read lots of complains on this site about fuel comsumption the problem is your posted speed limits in some parts of the us no offence that diff from 60 to 70 makes a huge diff in fuel but here its 55 to 60 mph if anyone finds better miliage with super or premuim fuel let me know its about 4-5 dollars more to fill it with the good stuff

I have the base model with the 2.5L with around 4300 miles.

I have been consistently getting 24.X around town, never below 24.4 and never above 24.9.

I have taken 2long purely highway trips. One by myself and got 31 whole time. The other was with 4 adults in the car and I got 26 that time.

So I am pleased so far I think. I traded a 2004 focus zx5 and it really just did about the same.

Good to hear your pleased with it, some people are really disliking their new escapes.

Mileage

I have a VW Diesel 2001 Jetta and I get 50 miles a gallon. I drive my 2013 Ford AWD Escape and I have only gotten 24 miles a gallon. Then to make it worse, the gas tank is so small that I constantly feel like I have to fill up.

The Dealer says that the mileage will fall "in-line" once I break the engine in, however I doubt it.
