This is exactly my point about heavy-handed moderating I made in the other thread and someone agreed with. Unless comments are 100% of topic to you, you make comments like this continually in threads. It is pretty much why I have given up on this site.

I fully expected you to delete my post and send me an IM that you deleted it because it was not spot on the topic. I'm pretty much done here.
Not sure if you missed the thread title, but it is about 2017 2.0 Escapes. As I said before, I will not delete all of your off topic posts. However; the OP wanted to know fuel economy numbers from other 2017 Escape owners. It is your choice to not participate in the forum. We are not going to change how we moderate this forum just for you.

To the OP, I apologize this thread has taken this turn and gone off the rails. I hope it goes back on topic and the complaints are left to the appropriate forum section.

I also have the 2017 Escape 2.0 AWD, I do about equal amounts of highway and city driving and average between 9.5 and 10 l/100. I just turned 6000 km and haven't noticed a difference in mileage since new.

Very interesting Sherlock. I have never seen mine below 10.0. It is at 10.1 right now. I believe I have seen it at 10.2 once in the past as well. I'd be very happy with 9.5. Hopefully I eventually get there.

I'll keep an eye on it over the next little while and will keep reporting back any changes.

I'm going to also give Fuelly a try when I have a chance.

I also have to find out how to convert from the MPG to l/100 lol... oh wait, thank you Google ( https://www.checkyourmath.com/conver..._per_100km.php ). Very nice. So that mean's jtzako's 23.5 mpg average is about 12.02 l/100... thats way worse than me. Huge difference... perhaps something is incorrect about the way the Escape's are calculating this? Will be interesting to see what Fuelly tells me.

Perhaps it will improve. Although I just put on brand new snow tires yesterday so that might cause a hit to fuel economy going forward also.
That 2017 owner I mentioned had covered around 1700km.

In my last three fill ups:
23.7
22.3
24.4
All done in mixed driving city/hwy (this is computed as actual mpg not going by the gauge), that would compute to 9.5 to 10.5 L per 100 km.

Ok so that site I was using earlier was converting IMPERIAL mpg to l/100km... but I want US mpg to l/100km... thats why the numbers were so off in my earlier conversion. The goofy thing is some sites like Convert Miles Per Gallon (US) to Liters per 100 Kilometers says its converting US mpg to l/100km, however it also states as a disclaimer "Note: This conversion will not work for the UK or Canada."... but why? Arrghh... other sites get the same results ( Fuel Consumption Unit Conversion Calculator ) so it must be correct.

Sure would be nice if our neighbors to the south would switch to the metric system

btw thanks focker for the numbers. I'll try to calculate the actual numbers as well soon, but it seems you are right around where I am so far.

I wonder if the 2017's start-stop technology has anything to do with it...

If you have an iPhone I suggest an app called Gas Cubby to get accurate milage and keep track of your gas expenses. The units can be set for USA, Canada, UK or a ton of metric options.

I would just google top mileage apps for android, maybe add 2016 so you don't get an old list
