Are you using the remote start and doing a lot of idling?

Did you check for a fuel leak?

cold weather has a number of negative effects on fuel economy.

there is a large aerodynamic reason for reduced mpg

aerodynamic drag equation

where rho is air density. drag is proportional to density

also P = nRT/V
pressure is proportional to temperature.

air density changes by about 5% every 30F. therefore aero drag changes by 5%.
by my rule of thumb that gets 2.5% change in MPG on the hwy. which is 1mpg change on a 40mpg hwy car every 30F

also, higher density cold air means that the throttle has to open less to get the same air, thus increasing pumping losses which decreases efficiency.

finally winter gas has more butane in it, according to my friend who work in a Chevron refinery. (the cold reduces the vapor pressure of butane, thus it won't volatilize away).

During cold weather, gas mileage will take a dive. I would also recommend re-setting your "trip timer" with each fill up. In my wife's escape, I usually find that when I look at the trip timer or engine timer, I discover that the car while only have travelled a relatively short distance, it has been running for 9 - 10 hours on that tank of gas. During winter, the car, especially with remote start, will idle for long periods of time while warming up and de-icing. Winter tires will decrease gas mileage as Will driving a car that has a foot of snow on it.
We have been pleased with the mileage on the 2.0 ecoboost, which averages about 1 litre more per 100 Kms than my 08 Saturn Aura did, but is AWD, and has 50 more horsepower getting about 9.3 litres/ 100 Km while driving at 120 km/hr.
