No SEL stinks for the mid range buyers. Back up cameras should be optional.. but federal mandates makes back up cameras mandatory for ALL vehicles in 2014

Glad to see rear view camera is standard and that it's going to be like this for all 2014 vehicles. where did you find out rear back up cameras will be standard on all 2014 vehicles?

So today I see the that the 2014 model is up on Ford's site to be built up, Towing package only avail on the 2.0t ... well perhaps as of yet. If you don't get the Tech package, the HID is an option.

Just a thought, I wonder if the 2014 has HID as an option would it work as a accessory for the 2013?

I don't think so. I tried to "build" a 2014 Titanium and add just the HID, and the site said HID requires Equipment Package 401A ($1,295).

A few more observations:
  • The standard wheels on the 2014 Ti are the 18" ones from the 2013 SEL.
  • The 2014 Ti seats also appear to be the leather seats from the 2013 SEL (unless the photography simply hasn't been updated yet); now available in Medium Light Stone too, just as on the SEL.
  • I looked at some early inventory orders for 2014 Titaniums from dealers in my area: 1.6L outnumbered the 2.0L; optional 19" wheels were rare; Equipment Group 401A often present.
  • This reinforces my view that the 2014 Titanium is essentially a 2013 SEL with some Ti tech features made available.
  • Current 2014 rebate is $1,000 rather than $2,000; 60-month APR is 4.9% rather than 0% (not really an incentive at all, since lower rates are readily obtainable from banks).

So pretty much my FE SEL is a 2014 Ti in disguise. :-)
