radar detector power connection from mirror

I recently bought a 2013 escape titanium and want to connect my radar detector power off of a switched power source, preferably at the rear view mirror. Has anyone done this yet, and if so, identified the process and wires to tap?

I've used an invisicord from mirror to an escort radar detector on past vehicles and figured I could use one here as well.

Thanks!

Only if your able and know how to pop off the cover it is pretty simple, would appreciate a picture of the hook up. I have my Escort 9500 waiting to be hooked up, I don't usually worry I don't speed, I only keep it when traveling don't need an out of state ticket. lol.

Yeah, removing the cover is the first thing I need to figure out, I was hopeful someone had the details on which way to push, pull, or pry so as to not break anything.

Adrian, can you take a pic of how it was routed around the plastic covers?
