Sport Mode

Just wondering how many of you drive in sport mode. I usually set it on certain occasion but today i decided to pretty much leave it on sport mode and the result was this lols. Torque is awesome and nice and smooth shifting.

There's a sport mode? Where's the button?

It's the S on the gear selector.

You can use the up-down manual shift buttons when in this mode, but if you don't, the transmission will shift automatically, but differently from how it shifts in Drive.

In the left-hand column: Drive vs. Sport Mode

(I can't watch more than a couple of the videos before the background "music" drives me away, whimpering.)

I Use it for going down steep hills. Also have been fooling around with the "select shift" buttons, keep forgetting there is no clutch pedal though. Give me some time, and I'll be manually shifting all the time. Sport seems similar to the low range in my Dodge Caliber.

I have used the sport mode when on steep hills. How is the gas mileage around town in sport mode?

Not to jump off on a tangent, but which would be best for towing? (I watched the Trailer Sway and Drive/Sport vids... and you're right, the backing tracks are overbearing. Someone was WAY too proud of their sequencer chops.)

You do wonder what the thought processes of the 20 something's are that produce these instruction videos. Somehow these days, whether its these videos, or about every TV documentary, there's background thumping and "musical" noise that is mixed in at a higher sound level than the speaker.

Reality is that all cars have flaws
and great cars have wabi-sabi.

I've been testing sport mode in heavy high density suburban traffic:

Much "peppier" performance.

About 1 MPG better fuel economy too.

If I choose to manually shift - WOW!
Hard to believe a CUV wagon could come off the line so quick.
(Wish it had paddle shifters or a "stick" that felt like a stick, rather than up/down buttons)
