Car wash issues

Will the antenna survive a typical carwash? Should I remove it prior ?

I only hand wash so I don't know.

More importantly - Make sure you turn off your auto wipers before the car wash.

Nothing but hand wash here as well.
Car washes are asking for nothing but trouble.

If you have doubts, remove it, or buy a rigid stubby antenna.

The antenna handles fine in any car wash. I already put it through the test and have had no issues. You should be fine unless you replaced it for another kind like some have done on this forum, then it all depends on how well you installed it. But the factory one will hold.

I have run mine through 2 different types of car washes and haven't had any issues...yet.

My dealer assured me that the antenna is "car wash safe".
Obviously needs to be taken with a grain of salt.

I have taken mine through the car wash at least 20 time so far and the antenna has not been damaged at all.

I usually hand wash but I have run it through an auto wash in a pinch a few times. No damage. Although, to be on the safe side if you must use a car wash, just unscrew the thing before you go. It comes off in about 5 seconds.
