I have a 2013 Ford Escape 1.6L Ecoboost with 4WD. When I bought it I had told them I wanted a vehicle to tow a small pop up camper. Unfortunately the vehicle they had me test drive and the vehicle I ended up purchasing were different. When I was checking it, says that my vehicle has a capacity of 2000 lbs with a class 2 hitch.
When I called the sales person he said it can haul up to 2500. The trailer vendor says 2500 with class 3 hitch.
Can anyone shed some light. I thought I was doing the right thing by asking and checking and not being some dumb female. Ugh.
Thanks for your help.
