My 1st car was a '68 Mustang Convertible, Seafoam Green 289 Automatic.
This is its twin I found on the net, but mine had the hood scoops with the turn indicators.

What a great car, wish I held on to it.

You guys had cars much cooler than mine. I had this 1969 Toyota Corolla "Sprinter" notchback coupe, with its amazingly useless 1077cc engine. Top speed with my foot slammed down on the floor was about 65mph, unless a hill was involved. I bought it in 1973 in Norfolk, Virginia, when I was a (very) poor sailor in the Navy. I was desperately trying to get married to the love of my then young life. I remember I paid $900 for the car, and I didn't even have a driver's license yet. I had to have a friend drive it home, then teach me to drive a stick so I could get my license. I got married a month later. The marriage lasted about six months longer than the car.

I've probably missed a few cars since then, but I count 24 cars after that one, until my 2015 Escape. So that means I've owned 26 cars since 1973. Gads, I've gone through a lot of cars!

Dave

Loved this car. In fact, I still have a 1995 GTC that I drive in the summer.
