Just finished a complete refit of a lounge and dining room, including having to jack up a sagging ceiling and reinforcing the roof timbers to take a 270L solar hot water system. Fitted new lighting, power sockets, fire place and flooring. It's been a couple of months project.

I'd rather put up with a little snow. At least it melts. The southern states seem to get there share of fires, floods, hurricanes and tornadoes lately. I also tolerate the cold better than 90+ degree days. I'd have to live in air conditioning if it was that hot. I'll just visit for a couple of weeks to break up the winter each year.

its been so cold lately, my hummingbird feeders have been freezing. I've been cycling them inside to thaw.
Now i've gone one step further with some pipe insulation

I also bungied a work light to the bottom of it to provide 60W heating.

now for gratuitous hummingbird pics from my yard. I'm using a 300mm lens, and many of these are from less than 6 feet at full zoom.

Have you tried glucosamine and chondroitin supplements for your dog? They make them just for dogs too and can be quite helpful for some animals. Your vet should be able to comment on whether or not it might help.

Another project complete.

extended the piping from the laundry room into the garage (about 6 ft. and through a wall) so that I could have a sink in the garage. I hadn't done copper piping before, so had my Dad on hand to teach. all the piping is nicely hidden behind the washer/drier

keeping the garage reno's going.

I finished the insulation that the previous owners started, the new pink insulation what I did. Added vapour barrier, then dry wall. I'm not going to bother with tape and mud, etc, because its a garage. I just didnt like have exposed insulation. Also considering the ceiling.

Also, shows the shelving I have mounted on the opposite wall.
