Seeding- HELP!

Any Landscapers on here? I am in a disagreement with how much I need. I have 0.35 acres of land. Minus 1300 square feet house and say 1000 sq feet of lane way= 13 000 Sq feet to sod. The general rule I read online was that I need 2-3 ibs per 1000 square feet.

13 000 sq ft / 1000 sq ft= 13 X 3ibs = 39 ibs

I calculated that a 50 ibs bag will be more than enough and my father is saying I need 200 ibs of seed. Keep in mind this is a new lawn however...

See if Lowes Canada web site has the calculator for your growing zone or just use zone 6

Then if that is was it is showing for a new lawn and the type of seed that you are using then go with it. I don't think you will find a 78 lb bag, so maybe they have 100 lb one and get that and meet your dad in the middle.
