New MKC owner

Hi all. I do not own an Escape, but the corporate cousin Lincoln MKC. It is a 2017 2.3l AWD in Luxe Metallic. I decided to join fordescape.org since the MKC forum is on life support (I think it gets 2-4 non-spam posts a week) and there are many things in common between the two vehicles. I had been lurking for a while, so I know how valuable this community is to FE owners.

Let's see if I can figure out how to post a pic of my vehicle...

Welcome to the forum.

You are welcome to stay on the forum. Maybe some of the solutions to the FE issues will help you out. Please keep discussions of the MKC to the Other Vehicle Discussion section as we like to reserve the main forum for 2013 and newer Escapes.

Welcome. Are those stock rims? Me likely. Is the bolt pattern the same?

Welcome, that's a nice looking car!

Must say I really like the 'non-roof rails', the tail-end treatment and the dash/console of the MKC .... all much more elegant than the Escape as befitting the Lincoln marque and price.

With those optional wheels, yours is the 'Reserve 300A' trim, is that correct? Looks like the Hazelnut interior, too, which IMHO is stunning.

Did you go with the THX option for the audio?

I love my hard-working '05 F-150 XLT 5.4 V8 trailer-towing truck, too !

Help us help you - what is your year, engine, drivetrain, trim and SYNC version?

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome.

HayaiKuruma, according to sizewheeltire.com, the are the same size: bolt pattern 5x108; center bore 63.4; thread size 12x15. I don't see why a 20" rim wouldn't fit the Escape.

Centex, you know your Ford/Lincoln trims! The interior is Espresso with Cappuccino. I love the interior; everything that can really show dirt is dark brown, but the trim and headliner are cream which really lightens it up. We looked at the black interior, but everything is black including the headliner and it was cave-like. It is a reserve, but does not have THX, unfortunately. We had special ordered a Reserve 2.0 FWD with the CCD suspension, THX and tow package, but without the 20" rims. Then the Volvo XC70 it was replacing died one too many times and the dealer had this one on the lot. I do love the extra power of the 2.3, but I miss the THX and do not like the rims. I think its an old man thing about the rims. Super low profile tires seem out of place to me on anything but a sports or GT car. I'm not that old so i must be hitting the curmudgeon/"get off my lawn" stage of life a litter early.

The wife and I really love it.

Lol that's a hoot!

I definitely 'fit the profile' you describe, both in attitude and in my case 'numerically', so can certainly relate (and agree). Too bad about having to jump before your special order arrived but hey, you've still got a very handsome car there.

Enjoy, and again, welcome to the forum !
