Snow tires

After many decisions I decided on Blizzak WS70 on 16". Also got TPMS and program tool. They got delivered to my front door two days after ordering.

VERY good choice, how much did they cost you? Im not a fan of low end wheels, but when it's on a daily driver it's okay. make sure to show us some pictures when it's mounted

anyone looking for a good all season for their Escape i would highly, HIGHLY recommend checking out Nokian Tyres. They're Finnish i believe, and if theres one thing the Fins know its winter driving...

I'm interested in the cost as well, as the wife is lobbying for different winter tires, even though she got along fine last winter with the Continentals that came on the FE. I don't think she'd ever experienced the traction control kicking in, although I did once while making a turn (I am a bit more agressive driver than she is ) and it worked well.

I put together a package on Tire Rack with studded tires on either 17 or 18 inch wheels (suffering from CRS ), but wasn't impressed when I saw that the wheels selected had centering rings included in an installation package. That tells me that they didn't really fit right.

What wheels did you select?

Thanks.

I paid $45 for the tool, $89 each for the rims, $32 TPMS each, $108 each tire. In addition to shipping, I had to pay duty and brokerage fee.

Everything in - its still cheaper to buy from Tire Rack than in Canada.

I used to live in Toronto and can tell you these are great prices. I think one of the cheaper winter tires at Canadian tire will run you just $100, Goodyear Nordic i think?
So getting the Blizzaks everyone raves about for the price of entry-level winters is a great deal.

I just ordered the same set except I got the steel wheels with hubcaps. Waiting to install them first part of November.

Quick pic of hubcap over wheel. It isn't pushed on all the way. The Tire Rack guys send new lugnuts, TPMS sensors installed and they send the factory Motorcraft initializer tool. Very impressed with their way of doing business, it's really quite effortless.
