Hey guys I’ve been looking at an Edge Sport and Escape and after the realization of finances and vehicle capabilities, I’ve asked my auto auctioneer to look for a 2016 to 2017 Escape Titanium 2.0 4WD with leather. I think that will suit me well, but I told him that I will first test drive one lol. In all seriousness, my brother and my other uncle have enthusiastically recommended the Escape. My brother also drives an Explorer company vehicle and has also owned an Explorer, so if he can recommend an Escape, that tells me something.

All I can tell you is I like mine, and feel comfortable with the design and reliability. We are on our third Escape of this generation with my wife's 2018.

Highly recommend the 2017 if you can swing it. Some suspension and insulation changes make it smoother and quieter without sacrificing the handling. A surprising crossover for the price point, to my way of thinking.

Good luck!

I like mine other than the auto stop/start feature. Would I buy a 2018 Escape? The answer is NO! Ford has limited the 2.0T to the Titanium version. I will not buy a Ford equipped with the 1.5T, the timing belt is a no sale for me. My wife wants a new ride and I recommended the 2018 Honda CRV-EX.

There is alot more space for phones, drinks etc.

I agree for such a small engine its very smooth and the power is more than adequate.. On my first tank of gas i averaged about 27mpg but because i would say was about 60% highway i average about 24-25 mpg with mix of city and highway driving. better than my 2013 Fusion
