Hi guys, new to the Escape Forum and Ford ownership in general! Bought a 2014 Escape with the 1.6L Ecoboost (absolutely love the vehicle so far!) with 57,000 miles a month ago after my old Chevy Cruze got totaled, and am currently at 68k miles. I never have experienced pressure behind the oil cap when the engine is running before on any of my other vehicles, the 2017 Cruze, or my 08’ Dodge Ram 1500 with over 300k miles.

Is this a normal thing for the 1.6 Ecoboost? I use no coolant, have no overheating problems or rough running, and use no oil. Service records are up to date with oil changes every 4,000 to 6,000 miles. No record of any previous engine issues on Carfax, or the local dealership who serviced since new. Also hooked up my scan tool and the vehicle has never thrown a CEL since new. Pressure is just enough to pop the cap up and down slightly when set on top of the oil filler unscrewed.
