2014 Ford Escape S - 2.5L

Hi, guys and gals.

At 97k I’d like to drain and fill the coolant. I’ve searched for a couple hours on this forum and still can’t find a comprehensive guide. If anyone knows of a thread or accurate video for this model, please link me to it.

Feel free to comment with any tips for things to avoid or keep in mind. Thanks in advance, friends!

I don't know whether this will help as it is a bit long winded and there are many videos following on from each other and you may not need the first few but apparently it refers to your vehicle.

Ok, I’ve given it a gander, lol. I think this is similar to what I’ve found, but others are saying there’s a specific process to getting the mix exact and you can’t get all the fluid out just by draining the radiator. Therefore flushing with diluted water then adding a 50/50 mix means you won’t end up with 50/50 once that mixes with whatever is already in there. So I just want to cover the bases on getting the right mix.

Thanks for the extra info! Incidentally, since you seem to know what you're talking about.....the 120k interval makes me pretty uncomfortable - do you know if the coolant test strips work as expected with the blue super coolant?
