Coolant sensor replaced November 2019. Went back to shop Friday with same symptoms. Got call today that the engine was shot and they were doing a full replacement.
Thank you Lord that we bought the extended warranty for it when we bought it with only 28k miles on it. It died with only 65k. Not at all pleased with quality of vehicle to this point.

You're certainly not alone James. Now the question. What do you do with your Escape when your new engine is installed? Drive it or sell it?

Being a 2014 it's not within Ford's TSB/ recall for the coolant leaking into the cylinders. Possibly just bad luck.
