MY 2019 FORD ESCAPE is Rusting at the door seal on the inside of the doors and trunk lid on the bottom edge with only 36,356 mile and 7 months over Bumper to Bumper, FORD said good luck! By the way the FORD Premium Care Warranty does not cover it, bought out my lease and added the warranty to this piece of junk. If yours is still under warranty check it out before its to late. Also have a 99 Honda Accord with no rust and 100,000 miles as well as a 2011 Buick with no Rust and 108,000 miles. Guess the Ford Truck I was looking for is out!
Welcome to the forum.

Some Gen3 Escapes were renown for this in this area including mine which was minor and just required sanding and repainting one of the rear door areas you describe.

EDIT: I can see what you mean now on another post you placed elsewhere with a photo but please, respectfully, stick to one thread on the issue and include the photo there as it can become misleading.

The items list on Premium Care shows it doesn't cover the paint or body and the 5/50k corrosion warranty requires the panel to be rusted through before it can be claimed under warranty.
When I first got my '17', I noticed slight paint crinkling only on my drivers side door on the inside bottom along the weep holes, no rust through though, which many here noticed too with theirs...I used rust stop oil spray with a plastic extension and sprayed from both sides in each weep hole every year on all 4 doors....I used Fluid Film spray last 2 years..So far that has keep that crinkling on my drivers door from spreading and nothing on the other doors at all..

Is it all doors and liftgate? What area of the country do you reside in (salt/rust belt)?

Exactly the same issue with mine and the dealer said it was just a bubbling paint issue and put it down to poor quality control.
No further issue after it was corrected by the dealer 3 years ago.
Yep, the pinch welds at the bottom of the doors where the weep holes are located is notorious for bubbling paint. My 2013 was a mess and included the pinch welds around the hood perimeter. Injected Fluid Film in my doors right after purchase of my 2017 and so far all is good.

I treated my 2016 with ACF-50. I better check out other areas and my 2019.
