Can you let us hear it?
I've seen brake pad wear-out signals make a screeching noise, but there's no reason to expect wear out in 10K miles! What you report does not sound normal. I hope you can get it to perform for the dealer!... It is a very loud metallic screeching type noise. ...
Did you ever discover the cause of the noise. My 2020 does the same thing and the dealership service people are trying to tell me it's normal! My 2020 Sport Hybrid with just under 10,000 miles has just recently, and intermittently, started making a very loud noise when I back out of garage, or generally when in reverse. It happens whether or not I have my foot on the brake. It is NOT the normal pedestridan alert sound and is more like a noise from the rear brakes. As I said, it does NOT depend upon me applying the foot pedal brake.
It started when cold weather began, but that may not have any bearing or causation to this problem. It does not occur every time I back up, and is not just on "first start of day" or at any specific temperature range.

That will certainly cause that type of noise but post #3 appears to be a different issue.I get a screeching sound from mine occasionally. I think it happens when the brakes were wet and maybe some light rust developed that is getting scrapped off?
Has it always done this and does it only do it in your first drive of the day.?It is usually worse in wet conditions but only when reversing and applying the brakes. No nosie when braking otherwise.
I own a 2020 Ford Escape too. Since new it’s screeches very very loud It’s a lemon. 38,000 miles. Had it any many dealerships can’t figure it out. So I called ford motor company and trying to get buyout.
