Finally found the cabin air filter. Much easier to replace when needed than previous years. Open the glove compartment and press the tabs inward to lower the door and then pinch the retainer on the right side to fully lower the bin and expose the location of the filter. Could not find any "How To" documentation for our 2020 Escapes.

What’s the part number of the cabin filter you used? I checked with FRAM today and they told me they do not have a compatible filter for 2020 escape yet.

Wow...that's pretty cool. Maybe you should put up a video on Youtube. I'm sure it would be helpful.

Well that's a relief. I just bought a 2020 Escape like two days ago and it seems relatively serviceable so far. The cabin air filter on my 2014 FiST was a PAIN to replace. Practically had to climb underneath the glovebox to get the side of the very front of the center console off, and even once you got it open the filter never wanted to go in right.

Beats laying on your head under the dash and burning your fingers on the heater core pipes while doing the 13-19s!

So I ordered two filters from Amazon. Both too small. Both returned.
With the air pollution here in Korea the OEM filter got clogged after 5 months...

Any recommended replacements?

Thank you very much! Thankfully this does not look like a pain at all, comparing to 2018 Escape...
And the Gen 3 Escape cabin air filters are a cakewalk to replace compared to some of Ford's smaller sedans. We had a fleet of Fiestas when my kids were growing up and it was near impossible to change out that filter and then get things put back together correctly. When my dealer did it once I had to go in and fix their job as they didn't manage to fit things back together that had to be removed to get to the filter.

Thank you for the recommendations. My filter arrived, only did not have time to replace it. Still carrying the 3G filter in the trunk. Will have to give it away locally.

What a 2020 escape cabin air filter after 87,000 miles. I thought it was blowing air through fine before but wow what a difference now! I will be changing it on my other escape with 40,000 miles soon.

I ordered this one as it was the only one available when I needed to replace mine and works and fit perfect.
