I have a 2021 Escape Hybrid SE with the black door trim panel. I must have been driving with some sunscreen or something on my left arm because now there is a whitish/greyish sheen on the horizontal top edge of the door trim. I tried cleaning it off with car wash soap and water but that didn't work. I haven't tried anything stronger because I don't want to discolor the plastic any further. Does anyone have any suggestions about what I might use to clean the plastic on the upper part of the door trim? Something simple and inexpensive would be great; no sense in spending a lot of money on a fix that might not work. Thanks.

maybe talk to the dealer's detail people. I am sure they have stuff that they use that might be helpful. I am sure that they have seen it all and have experience in removing all kinds of "stains" on the interiors.

I'd use Murphy's Oil Soap, then 303 Protectant.

Simple Green and a Magic Eraser also works.
