Hi! Try to search but no find
Question is
How start the coolant intrusion??
Two years ago my coolant just dissapear
No white smoke
No problem of driving
Nothing
Refill and never again happen
Nowdays after a bad spark change i star experience misfire the original sparks wasnt wet
The bad ones wasnt wet
I think the cause of.misfire was carbon buildup cause the bad sparks and the originsl ones come with carbon on the tip
And i read that misfire almost always was in cylinder 2-3
My misfire is in 4
Check coils and spark and it doesnt come wet or anything in the exhaust or bubbles in the reservoir of coolant
Repeat the coolant doesnt low the level
Almost all days checked after read about coolant intrusion
So..how start..anyway that i can check this q dissambly.all engine??
Cause i think that once happen...two years after the refill it will happen again or not?
Or what??
Cause i think if it was leaking or.something i get white smoke in the exhaust or not??
Like i said two years and the level doesnt drop again
Sorry if you dont understand this not native english

2-3 isn't always the case it can happen on other cylinders, 2-3 is the mid-point of the deck.
You've never had white smoke so there's a chance you had a weep elsewhere in the system or a recovery tank cap that wasn't tight enough.
Unless you're still having problems after replacing bad plugs or showing oil in your coolant I'd leave it be.

Thanks!
Never white smoke
I think it was the cap cause remember it was not tight
Still misfire but much less than before at least now i can overtake easily
Next step change coils cuase like i said hit 100kmiles
And most.be. Alot of carbon buildup caused by the bad sparks
Make sure you put dielectric grease inside the coil boots when you replace when you replace the coils.

Thanks i will do that..only clean the outside and put air on inside to clean it
Thanks
So..anymore tips how to check the intrussion or something?

Did you replace the coils as you indicated and if so is there still a misfire going on?

I just swap it but still dont drive the car the enough to have a stored code

You said in your first post that you established that the misfire is in cylinder 4 so I am assuming you swapped that coil to another cylinder so you should be able to find out if the misfire followed to that cylinder and if so that would obviously solve your issue.

Please keep us posted.

Only other way would be a compression test or looking with a borescope.

The coolant intrusion is not usually a problem that is found on the models up to 2017. That was when the revised twin scroll turbo version of the 2.0l Ecoboost was introduced. So if you're reading a lot about coolant intrusion problems it most likely isn't applicable to your engine.

There were a few posts made here by owners of pre 2017 about coolant intrusion. Pretty certain of that.

Tomorrow i will run it hard and try some injector cleaner just in case
I will post anything that happen

Thanks!!! Will see if any mechanic here does that job

I read that too..usually in 1.6 models
Like i said...it think if it was leaking into.cylinder i will get white smoke in exhaust or not?
Thanks in advance
If it is very little, say something like 50ml a day you'd never see white smoke since it would get pushed out on startup.
White smoke comes from the intake stroke sucking coolant into the cylinder.
For the gradual loss described I'd look at a loose cap, weeping water pump or fitting.
If you're not loosing coolant over a couple of weeks the misfire isn't a coolant problem.

Thanks!! I check it today..no drop.in level mark it with a pen and nothing is lost
Do a hard acceleration still feel the misfire everyday less then before but not enough to show the code...i think is all bad luck do the milage of the car maybe carbon in cylinder and valves
Change the coil of the "bad" cylinder but no code to scan
Will post any news about it

I didn't say it never happens. With over 40000 members on here it's almost guaranteed someone will have posted a failure.

Perhaps I should have specified for the 2.0l engine as well (which the OP has.)

Updates!!
Run a injector cleaner at low level tank
Run hard and no misfire
In fact the car accelerate much more now

Will try another injector in a fee days and see what happen
No misifre stored code for now
Thanks all

What injector cleaner did you run? Exact tank level? Quantity of injector cleaner? Thanks!
