Thank you for the spreadsheet, but it really doesn't have much useful info for what I want to do. Some of the items on my list may have been only able to be done on the F150, so I might be just chasing my tail with those.

It is the ONLY reason I bought and adapter and want to use ForScan. I tried using the code I saw on an F-150 video and it didn't work. Please PM me if necessay.

Also, I can't figure this out either....when I go to save a configuration of a module in ForScan, it appears to save it, but when I go to the folder, there is no saved file. I've tried several different folders and I'm stumped. Has that happened to anyone else?

The BCM modules of escape and corsair should be similar. This is the BCM module code of my corsair (2020 made in china) decoded by me. You can try it.

I'm new to this forum, I've being playing around with forSCAN and what I achive so far is:
Bambi Mode
Global open/close windows
Change Splash Screen
Add functional Climate Control to Sync
Add functional heated Steering wheel to home screen on Sync

All the above with the non As-built options in forScan changes were made in the APIM, BCM, PDM and DDM modules.

I'm searching if anybody knows how to disable Double Horn on exit when engine running.

Climate control to sync? Global open/close?
How? Particularly climate control on sync? Thank you.

That was the one and only post from @cesart over 18 months ago and I doubt he is still following the forum.
His Escape was a 2020 Titanium hybrid.

Also... my neighbor has a $1000 OBD2 scanning tool...does that do anything other than clear codes etc without forscan?

I have a new to me 2020 Titanium that I am trying to get modified to my liking with Forscan. I did many changes to my F-150 with Forscan, but the Escape is fighting me. I have a number of things I want to but the only spreadsheet info I have is for the F-150, and most of them won't work. I want to change the turn flashes from 3 to 5, but the change I try just hits a dead end. Bambi mode is on my list also, but my codes are useless. I'm sure there are some functions that work on the F150 that won't on the Escape, but without some divine guidance, I don't know which ones!
Anyone with specific info that they want to share would be appreciated.
In another post I will list the items I'd like to change. It is ambitious!
On the F150 Forum we often use Private Messages when the conversation is best kept private. I just joined here, so I don't know if that works here. I'm open to suggestion.

i tried using Forscan and enabled global window with remote up/ down, global window up /down, global window initial up/ down.. i can open all 4 windows with remote, but not closing them. Is yours closing works?
also, i have a sunroof, is there a way to global open that as well? i used Forscan 2.3.33

It does not work for the sunroof. I have it enabled for the global open / close and it doesn't work for the sunroof.

Exactly the same thing with my car, until I discovered the sensor not attached to the windshield.

This is happening to me as well. Just got a 2022 escape titanium hev and is having this behavior.
can anyone please advise on how to remove the camera/rain sensor cover?

Few new questions...
1) Has anyone tried turning on the IPC frost warning on a Hybrid with the 12.3"? It's an indicator the Kuga's have.
2) Anyone tried enabling the other Kuga vehicle control on the APIM? (Global Open/Close, etc).

This applies to using the remote to open/close the windows. Not the switches in the interior.

Double press and hold of unlock button to open all windows. Double press and hold of the lock button to close all windows.

Not sure about 2016s but the 2020 has the option of global windows open and close. It was not enabled from the factory. I enabled it with Forscan.

Same for my 2017 F250. It came with global open enabled. I enabled global close with forscan. My 2013 Fusion came from the factory with global open/close enabled


Have you used Forscan to look at the plain text option for your Escape?

I’m not sure what Forscan is but I assume it’s a tool that can be used to reprogram features. Sounds pretty cool. Is it easy to use for the average nerd?

hi all

I have a 2022 ESCAPE MK3 with a light switch with a auto function and a rain/light sensor.
When I start the car or put the ignition on the light switch automatically changes to the automatic function. If I change the light switch to the off postion, dimmed headlights are going off and the day time running lights go on. But if i then switch the igntion off and on again, the light switch changes back tot the automatic function.
Is there any possibilty to change this in the as built data so the light switch stays in the off postion.
This car needs to able to turn off all the ligths.
I am able to turn of the day time running light with forscan, so i switch off the light myself there are DRL lights on anymore.
Last thing I want is that the light switch stays in the off postion after a igntion is turned off and on again.

It's not bad. Lots of online threads and videos folks have done to assist with anything you might do.

Just need to make sure you have a battery charger on the car when you do it and the laptop on AC power, losing power on either during a write session can brick a module.
You also need:
1) a good OBD2 adapter, the OBDLink EX or MX work best
2) To keep in mind some changes have unintended consequences (eg turning off auto start/stop also kills the cross traffic warnings when backing up).
3) To be aware that the easy button options are a "guesstimate" based on the logic people have found and things that work in say Europe may not work here in the US (and vice versa) due to changes in logic/firmware between models & markets (turning on the ice warning on the cluster of my 2014 Fusion Hybrid disabled my heat because the setting was only valid for a Fusion Energi PHEV which has a heat control module).
4) To back up the current module configs before you start so you can revert and keep the number of changes per session to a minimum. It makes trouble shooting a lot easier when something isn't working afterwards. (eg enabling folding mirrors on a Fusion or Edge requires changes to the IPC, DDM & PDM and the easy button only makes the changes in the current module it doesn't span across all the modules)
5) To learn a bit about addition/subtraction in HEX 0=0, 1-9 are straight forward, A=10, F=15. As an example in the 2013-2015 MFT you could enable a graphic equalizer (whose settings wouldn't hold across ignition cycles hence the reason it never made it to production). If you made a slight addition error you got the equalizer but it told the cluster you had a different NAV repeater, so 1 mile to the next turn on the MFT could display on the cluster as 500 miles instead.

Some modules do not update correctly with the engine running.
It varies by model, some update flawlessly others will through a write error.

For the Ice/Frost warning on the 12.3 screen: 720-01-02 xxxx x8 turns on at 39º
The global open/close control added to the APIM menu works after the BCM changes are done.
Add heated seats and wheel to APIM:
For the Hybrid you can just add the wheel using the easy button, to add seats and wheel you have to disable the Hybrid app first
