I have a 2014 Ford escape 1.6l se. For the last 2-3 years I have had a heating issue with it. When I am idle the heater blows out cold air. When I am above 3000 rpm I start to feel heat. I have changed my coolant bypass valve twice and replaced the heater core trying to solve the issue but it still persist. The car has about 72xxx miles on it. I have checked the oil multiple times to see if it is contaminated with coolant and also have had shop check the oil. Everything is clean. I am running out of ideas. I tried tracing the coolant lines to see what is cold and warm after the car is at optional operating temperature. The pictures included are lines I found to be cold any ideas?

Welcome to the forum.

Do you know if it has had any applicable recalls done? The 1.6l is well known for coolant system issues and at least one recall/ TSB involved replumbing the cooling system, adding a low coolant sensor and reprogramming the PCM.

Have you also looked into the water pump? The symptoms make it sound like possibly it's not working well until it's rotating at higher speeds?

On the 1.6L the most common cause of a heat problem is a bad bypass valve, are you using Motorcraft, Standard or?
The other thing to check would be the heater blend door, if it's partially bound you won't get full heat.
