Update 5/10/21:
Clarifications based on feedback:
A special thanks to the Folks @ All about Ford Focus Mk4, Θεοδωρος Κυβελος and Ohi Chen.
Summery: The Chief task of this mod involves Installing/leveling/Calibrating the CCM module and supporting wiring.
Considerations:
Use at your own risk! Not responsible for any damages or injury. This mod is not for the faint of heart and requires adding wires and even probably requires installation of a NAV capable Sync3 APIM. I have already installed a Nav APIM before doing this mod. This mod enables Adaptive Cruise and distance indications and should also enable Evasive Steering Assist. This mod does not enable Lane Centering but I plan to attempt retrofit of that as well.
(How-to) Upgrade/replace your APIM to add Navigation...
Adaptive cruise without stop and go: 2020-2021 Escapes/Broncos/Corsairs with factory adaptive cruise with stop and have an electronic brake booster which is able to provide greater breaking support, whereas vehicles without factory adaptive cruise use a traditional vacuum break booster. I have tried it with stop and go configuration and while it does function it certainly isn’t smooth when coming to a stop behind another car.
Update 5/8/21: I ended up enabling stop/go because lane centering does not function without it. I took a 6 hour trip with at least 30 stop/go events, each time the vehicle stopped without issue, albeit not as smooth as my car with the electronic booster, but it is safe to do so in my opinion. Use at your own risk!
Update 6/26/21: It has been noticed that after enabling ACC with stop/go, using the parking break will disable the Cruise Control necessitating a restart of the engine to get the cruise control to re-enable.This is because this ABS is not technically able to to do the stop/go.
Basic Instructions

4. Install the CCM Mount and CCM. (See PDF)
5. Level The CCM using a Compound Level with car parked on level ground. (See PDF)
6. Reinstall the bumper cover.
7. Use Forscan to program Asbuilts and calibrate the CCM. Link for Foscan Beta.
8. Enjoy Adaptive Cruise!
Parts needed:
LJ6Z9C888AB (Adaptive Cruise Buttons)
OR
LB5Z9C888H (Lane Center Adaptive Cruise Buttons)
JX7T9G768AD (Edge/Expedition Distance Sensor)
OR
LB5T9G768AB (Escape Distance Sensor)
LJ6Z14C022AA (Distance Sensor Bracket)
LJ6Z8327B (Air Deflecter)
W506855S439(BAG OF 2) (x 2)
EU2Z14421CA (Male Pins for C122)
LX6Z14B474E (Front Support Full Harness)
or
WPT-1198 (CCM Pigtail)
and
DU2Z-14474-DA(Female Pins for C122) (Part Number not yet confirmed!)
Grey 22awg wire (such as WH22-08-100)
Brown 22awg wire (such as 22UL1007STRBRO)
¼ inch wire loom
Electrical Tape
Some parts not necessarily needed:
The ACC will function without changing the cruise buttons however the gap setting will be locked at 3. For the connection to the CCM I originally had purchased the LX6Z14B474E harness, however after discovering that the radiator and fan must removed to fully replace the harness I ended up just using the connector off of the new harness as a pigtail and transferred 3 pins into my car’s harness and spliced the ground. Had I known that, I would have just purchased the pigtail and pins. The air deflector has to be changed to accommodate the CCM but it is also possible to modify/cut your existing air deflector. See picture:
Clarifications based on feedback:
- To be very clear, your forscan adapter must support MSCAN.
- You must clear your DTCs after programming all modules.
- As of this moment, you must use the forscan beta listed to program abs values.
