How to press for price protection?

Picked up my '23 PHEV and I am so happy with how it turned out! My dealer seemed really confused regarding price protection. I was unable to provide anything definitive or written but I was under the impression that all custom orders are price protected. I don't think they are trying to screw me, I think they legitimately are not sure how to request price protection from Ford. Is there any way I can press the issue with Ford or any instructions I can provide my dealer to get the process going? Thanks!

When I picked up my 2023 F250 a couple of months ago (which had price protection) my salesman told me that Ford is ending the price protection that they've had. I've always custom ordered my vehicles and agreeing to a specific price that is locked in at the time of an order seems like the way the deal should be done. I can't imagine making a deal and then months later being asked to pay more...
I agree. My dealer honored the order for my Escape last year. Sticker was up $750. Also received $1,500 off from Ford for orders.

Similar with my wife's BS BL in February that was ordered when the order banks opened last year. Sticker was up $750, too. And also received $1,000 off from Ford for the order.

Call Ford, it'll take 10 min and could give you an answer. Do you have the signed price sheet from when you ordered it? The price protection comes later on for the dealer so I imagine they don't want to wait for the check or Ford could have changed their policy. My dealer tried to not do price protection (on my 22 pHEV) but I pushed them to do it because I knew it was applicable.
