I have this WiFi OBD https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077F8F6TB and Torque Pro for Android. I can connect to ODB just fine when it plugged in to the car but it doesn't seem to connect to car ECU. Is there something missing for this to work?

You may an issue with the wireless OBDC dongle. You have chosen a cheap unit. My experience shows the these cheap units don’t work very well.

Ford does some different things with the car’s connector.

this one works. I have one for my 17 F250 and have used it in my 2020 Escape. I don’t use it for programming because it’s wireless. But it works for monitoring.

Thanks. Which one do you recommend for programming in Escape?

I got that one to work. No problem. For $12 on eBay and Torque Pro app to read some data totally worth. For programming might pick up wired one.

I'd recommend the OBDLink MX+
Then you have something which reads both HS & MS CANBUS and works seamlessly with ForScan.
Got the MX+. Works great with Torque Pro. Is Forscan the best option if I want to modify certain behavior or there are some other Android options for it?

Forscan can do a a lot and it's free.
Also check out the Windows version if you haven't already done so.
