Question on available options via programming

Installed Factory Fog lights on my 2021 Escape SE and they do not work (used ALL factory OEM parts including wiring harness and switch upgrade). Been told that they need to be turned on in Programming. Spoke with Ford Dealer also about Global Window Up Option which they are also going to check during appointment March 16th (I work two P/T jobs so as soon s I could schedule).
What other options might I consider to ask the Ford Dealer to turn on when in programming? Thanks for your replies.

I did the factory switch upgrade AND yes please post IF your dealer can get the dash indicator to work.
Will do.

Ok, this might be a little disappointing, but the only way he said he could do it is if he had the fogs come on with the low beams. He said there's no way he could get the indicator light on the dash to work. He couldn't wire it to work with the factory switch either.

I don't mind it because I use the fogs a lot.

They come on with the low beams, off with the high beams and don't work with the day time running lights. Perfectly legal in Pennsylvania.

He said none of the wiring is there. There's no connector hanging there to plug the lights in. They don't build harnesses like that anymore. The harnesses are basically vin specific. If a connector is not needed for you specific car, it's not installed in the harness.

So, I guess, if you really wanted a switch, you'll have to run a wire through the firewall and use some type of universal switch.
But, good luck when it comes to the indicator light in the dash. Your universal switch will have to be one with an indicator light.

Edit:
Oh wait, I just reread your post. You said you did the factory switch upgrade. How did you do that?

No - the SE line came with blanks . . . I purchased OEM parts and added them.
How much do the parts costs? How much did the dealer charge to activate the fog lights?

As a note; I'm planning to do this on my 2022 Escape SE as well; and it looks like the dash indicator issue may have been solved by some folks over on the Bronco side, see the link below.

I'm looking into getting Forscan and doing this myself, but I bet if you printed up this post it might help explain to the dealer the changes they need to make to get the dash indicator working (if you're still bugged about not having it active).

Fingers crossed I can get all the right parts ordered and get this forscan thing working (do you have a parts list that you ended up procuring to?). I have some prior tuning/coding experience from my import days, so I feel pretty confident I can figure the forscan part out.
