Sync3 resets each time I turn off the car

I have a 2020 Titanium 55k miles, bought it with 6 miles on it, Sync3 system. Every time in the past week, that I shut off the car, then come back to turn it on, my number of pages resets to 2, my SiriusXM radio ID displays and then I can select options from the now two pages of presets. I have had 5 pages sent I got the car, but now it resets to two every time I shut down the car. Any suggestions?

Sounds like a glitch. Have you tried a master reset?

Maybe try the system reset first. If that doesn't work, master reset. The owner's manual has the simple first reset to try.

Edit. The SYNC system reset is on page 430 of my '22 owner's manual. Press >> and radio power for a few seconds.
And if all else fails. pull the battery cable for ~35 minutes to force a full cold boot of all the electronics.

I have been having the same issue for the past week or so. Let me know if you find a fix.
What build level of Sync are you on?
The number of pre-set pages from the factory is 3, so have you made any changes using ForScan?

My 2020 is doing the same thing. Started about a week or so ago. keep us posted if you find the solution.
Well I disconnected the battery cables for about an hour. Hooked it back up then set it up to what I had when it was working as it should. No difference. It still does not show the screens as it should. Guess I will take it to my dealer and see what they say.

I did the master reset and things worked ok for about a day or two and now it's back to acting up again.
I'd be curious as well, mine has started acting weird in the last two weeks, 2020 Titanium Escape. Every time I turn the car off and restart my display settings are all back to default. My screen display, which I have always kept on night cause I hate that white screen, keeps going back to auto. My phone syncs, but the audio is always back to radio is on even if I turned it off and it's set to AM Radio. Dealer had it yesterday and did some kind of "reset" but it's still doing the same things. Was find until a few weeks ago. Checked and I am on the latest version of SYNC.

What version of sync3 are you actually on and do you know how long you have been on that version, and have you tried a master reset?

I am on sync version 3.4 Build 22251. Been on it maybe a month. It didn't start happening right away after the update BTW.

Did you update through the Ford system by USB or wifi and did you try a master reset?

The other thing you could try is upon entering the car wait for a short while until the Ford logo on sync begins rolling before starting the car and see if it still defaults back differently to your last settings or retains them and let us know.

I have also updated to the same build but by Cyanlabs and there are a couple of glitches but a master reset (or two) is important..

Turn engine on > select sync settings > general> master reset.

If you do this you will have to reconnect your phone and replace any saved destinations if you have Nav. but it often clears up bugs in the system and those who have updated to build 22251 have found that they have sometimes needed to master reset a couple of times to get the system working properly.

As I said please keep us updated. ;)

I have only done 1 master reset. I will try that again.

If that doesn't help try the other suggestion in my updated post #13 as I had a similar issue and waiting for a short time when entering the car before starting it corrected the problem.

There are a couple of bugs in build 22251 but often they iron themselves out.

I will try that technique. My new problem is that I can't even get it to do a master reset it just stays on the confirmation screen to reset.

I'm on version 3.4 Build 22251_Product. I can't tell when it was updated, but I think in March sometime. I would have thought the dealer would have done the master reset but who knows. Wouldn't be the first time they told me they fixed a problem and hadn't.

Well, before you do anything else try a master reset.

Sync 'settings > general > master reset' and let us know of any improvement.

EDIT: there are bugs in 3.4.22251 but it would not surprise me if Ford are unaware of it.
Many using Cyanlabs have downloaded back to version 3.4.21265 as it is more stable however to all the guys having issues try and do the USB download to build 22251 again if possible and ensure you do a master reset or two immediately after.
Well, did the master reset and it hasn’t come back up yet…been well over 5 minutes. Getting concerned. How long does it take?

Give it a little longer. By the way I have just discovered that there is now a later version of sync. version 3.4.23088 and 2022 maps.
I am just updating it through Cyanlabs but not sure whether it will show up on your Ford updates yet but may be worth checking.
