Sync3 resets each time I turn off the car

I have a 2020 Titanium 55k miles, bought it with 6 miles on it, Sync3 system. Every time in the past week, that I shut off the car, then come back to turn it on, my number of pages resets to 2, my SiriusXM radio ID displays and then I can select options from the now two pages of presets. I have had 5 pages sent I got the car, but now it resets to two every time I shut down the car. Any suggestions?

Thanks. It finally came up. Think it took 30 minutes. Got everything synced back up. Now we just wait til morning and see if it took. I bet the dealer only did the soft reset.

It appeared to be back to normal this morning!! Crossing my fingers that it stays that way.

I will try that technique. My new problem is that I can't even get it to do a master reset it just stays on the confirmation screen to reset.
Update. I was finally able to do a second master reset and everything seems to be working ok now. So I would suggest to anyone else having this problem try two master resets at least.

I need to try that, though I did two master resets, they were not one right after the other. I also have issues connecting to the app and wifi too, among other issues ... but it seems they all started about the same time as most people here.

Can you give us details of your vehicle model and sync build please?

It is a Sync 3 version 3.4, Build 22251

The car is a 2021 Lincoln Corsair (I haven't bought the Escape yet, so I hope you don't mind my asking here - lots more info than the Lincoln boards!)

Thanks,

Richard

If you did the 22251 Ford update by USB yourself perhaps you could try it again or wait until the latest version 3.4.23088 appears on the Ford site and update that one doing a master reset after uploading in the vehicle in each case.

I did both through Cyanlabs with no issues and now have the latest 3.4.23088 version and 2.22 maps but I would stick with Ford updates as apparently Cyanlabs could brick 2020 + sync 3 systems.
I had the same problem with my 2021 Escape PHEV, it's the 22251 software; I had to downgrade to 22110 to correct this problem.

Yep...21265 is also a very stable downgrade compared to 22251 apparently.
I have had no issues so far with the latest 23088 version though.

Update #2 still having issues. Sync reverts to AM radio every time I restart the car instead of the last source played in my case it's usually satellite radio.

Downgrade to sync version 3.4.21265 if you can or upgrade to version 23088 when it becomes available on the Ford site.
May have to do the 2nd master reset. Was good for a few days but noticed this evening it switched back to auto on the display. I’ll see if it does it again before I go thru that headache for a second time.
I tried doing a master reset a few times in a row ... still doesn't work - defaults to 2 preset pages; can't connect to the app (connectivity services or whatever it is called won't connect). The wifi does seem to connect to my home network.

I plan to take it to the dealer, but do you think I should try downgrading? Is it hard to do?

Some have had issues with the 3.4.22251 version.
Suggest that you either take it to the dealer or wait until the latest version 3.4.23088 shows up on your Ford profile and try downloading that by USB.
I downloaded the latest version to replace 3.4.22251 through Cyanlabs with no issues for my 2017 Escape but it should be on the Ford site soon. Don't try downloading it through Cyanlabs.

Please keep us updated. ;)

Your current version 3.4.22251 has bugs and my advice would be to update it to the latest version 3.4.23088 when it is available on your Ford profile.

Yeah, I did the reset again yesterday, took over an hour. I'll see when the next update comes out and cross my fingers that it fixes this. It's a real pain.
The second master reset only lasted a day or so. It's back to be all screwy. Ford has not released an update yet, it still says the software is on the most recent version. The master reset takes well over an hour for me and I'm tired of fooling with it. I may have to just live with fixing everything back every time I start the car...grrr. But I have now lost the lane markers on the dash as well, they only show up if I turn on the lane assist function completely, not just the alert setting.

Sorry you are having these issues.
The lane markers on the dash have nothing to do with the sync system as you know.

If it is still under warranty I suggest you take it back to the dealer as some tech may need to be replaced and it is up to them to sort it out.
Tell them about having to do a master reset constantly and the length of time it takes as many resets should not be necessary anyway and it should only take a couple of minutes in any case.
There is something else going on obviously.
