Thanks. It finally came up. Think it took 30 minutes. Got everything synced back up. Now we just wait til morning and see if it took. I bet the dealer only did the soft reset.
It appeared to be back to normal this morning!! Crossing my fingers that it stays that way.Thanks. It finally came up. Think it took 30 minutes. Got everything synced back up. Now we just wait til morning and see if it took. I bet the dealer only did the soft reset.
Update. I was finally able to do a second master reset and everything seems to be working ok now. So I would suggest to anyone else having this problem try two master resets at least.I will try that technique. My new problem is that I can't even get it to do a master reset it just stays on the confirmation screen to reset.
Can you give us details of your vehicle model and sync build please?I need to try that, though I did two master resets, they were not one right after the other. I also have issues connecting to the app and wifi too, among other issues ... but it seems they all started about the same time as most people here.
It is a Sync 3 version 3.4, Build 22251Can you give us details of your vehicle model and sync build please?
If you did the 22251 Ford update by USB yourself perhaps you could try it again or wait until the latest version 3.4.23088 appears on the Ford site and update that one doing a master reset after uploading in the vehicle in each case.It is a Sync 3 version 3.4, Build 22251
The car is a 2021 Lincoln Corsair (I haven't bought the Escape yet, so I hope you don't mind my asking here - lots more info than the Lincoln boards!)
Thanks,
Richard
Yep...21265 is also a very stable downgrade compared to 22251 apparently.I had the same problem with my 2021 Escape PHEV, it's the 22251 software; I had to downgrade to 22110 to correct this problem.
Update #2 still having issues. Sync reverts to AM radio every time I restart the car instead of the last source played in my case it's usually satellite radio.Update. I was finally able to do a second master reset and everything seems to be working ok now. So I would suggest to anyone else having this problem try two master resets at least.
Downgrade to sync version 3.4.21265 if you can or upgrade to version 23088 when it becomes available on the Ford site.Update #2 still having issues. Sync reverts to AM radio every time I restart the car instead of the last source played in my case it's usually satellite radio.
Some have had issues with the 3.4.22251 version.I tried doing a master reset a few times in a row ... still doesn't work - defaults to 2 preset pages; can't connect to the app (connectivity services or whatever it is called won't connect). The wifi does seem to connect to my home network.
I plan to take it to the dealer, but do you think I should try downgrading? Is it hard to do?
Your current version 3.4.22251 has bugs and my advice would be to update it to the latest version 3.4.23088 when it is available on your Ford profile.May have to do the 2nd master reset. Was good for a few days but noticed this evening it switched back to auto on the display. I’ll see if it does it again before I go thru that headache for a second time.
Yeah, I did the reset again yesterday, took over an hour. I'll see when the next update comes out and cross my fingers that it fixes this. It's a real pain.Your current version 3.4.22251 has bugs and my advice would be to update it to the latest version 3.4.23088 when it is available on your Ford profile.
Sorry you are having these issues. The second master reset only lasted a day or so. It's back to be all screwy. Ford has not released an update yet, it still says the software is on the most recent version. The master reset takes well over an hour for me and I'm tired of fooling with it. I may have to just live with fixing everything back every time I start the car...grrr. But I have now lost the lane markers on the dash as well, they only show up if I turn on the lane assist function completely, not just the alert setting.
