Hello Escape forums!
I've got a 2017 Ford Escape SE and I've been trying to update the Sync software to the latest available to me: 5.11

I've followed the instructions on Ford's page, using both a Mac & a PC. I've tried with exFAT and FAT32 formatted USBs. I've tried USB 2.0 and 3.0 drives (Kingston, PNY, and SanDisk). I've re-downloaded the update files. I found a video on YouTube that said to turn off Bluetooth - no luck there either. The USB port is, presumably, working since it will recognize my iPhone when I connect it & play audio files (verified BT off on the iPhone as well).

In going down this rabbit hole I'm actually not 100% sure what version of SYNC I have (that is, I'm not sure if it's 1, 2, or 3). The SYNC-Settings > Software menu shows I have version 5.10 installed. In reading a couple things I'm thinking this is actually SYNC 1, not 2 or 3.

At any rate, if any one has any advice I'd appreciate it. Aside from going to a dealership I'm not sure what else I can try.
Thank you in advance!

The easiest way to tell is if you have the small screen or the big screen. Basic Sync is the small screen and Sync 3 is the larger screen.
