Anyone know what might be causing these two weird dips in my HID headlights? It's on both the left and right headlamps.

Also is this how bright they are supposed to be? I was considering switching them out if this was dimmer than what came from the factory.

The dip: Others who own the same headlights can chime in about whether it's normal or not, but it doesn't appear to be anything too out of the ordinary for a projector. The dipped area is where oncoming traffic is located so a projector cutoff tends to be lower in that area to prevent blinding oncoming drivers, while keeping the sides higher to give the better lighting towards the ditches.

As for brightness, there's no way to tell in a picture but, depending on the use of the headlight, HID bulbs should be replaced every 5 or so years.

That actually looks normal, normal alignment distance is 25'.
Brightness is about normal, as far as replacement every 5 years it all depends on vehicle use.
The daughter's 2014 has more miles of night driving on it in the last year than in the previous 7 combined because the wife never drove it at night when she had it.
