I purchased a 2018 Escape S with the 2.5L motor in May 2020 with 26,000 miles on the odometer. The car was like new, just what I was looking for and a fantastic deal. The Escape was purchased from a Ford Dealer and a Certified Pre-Owned Ford. I use the Escape to commute about 110 miles each day-95% highway miles. I have noticed that after the engine warms up, there is at time an engine ticking noise when accelerating from a dead stop at a normal pace. I though I heard that this engine was a bit noisy and that this was probably either a normal fuel injector ticking sound or maybe the design of the valve train. I have not experienced any oil consumption issues, and the Escape is getting 30.5 to 32 MPH on the hwy. Anything to be concerned about. Is this a normal noise for the Escape 2.5L? . Thanks, Chris
