Hi,
I have a 2013 Ford Escape SE with 1.6 EcoBoost. There was rattling in the lower front engine part while driving yesterday, which stopped after a half hour or so. Today the check engine light came on. I had the diagnostic test ran and it showed error code: P0234, with the following info:
Definition
Turbocharger/Supercharge a overboost condition
Explanation: The ECM has detected an overboost condition on the turbocharger system
Possible cause:
Engine over temperature condition
Misfire condition detected
Lean Air/Fuel ratio
Failed IAT sensor
Is this still safe to drive until it gets fixed?
Will this be covered under the manufacturers warranty if there is less than 36k miles?
I've only had the car for 6 months, is this going to be an ongoing problem?
