I have a 2014 Ford Escape Titanium 2.0L Eco Boost with 150k miles. There is a grinding sound that it makes upon acceleration and at idle (after driving it around). Sound comes from the front passenger side.
The grinding noise starts small then gets louder as I accelerate (Sounds like I'm in a monster truck). Funny part about it is it only makes the noise while the gear is in drive. As soon as you put it into park or in reverse the noise completely stops.
What's worse is that the noise goes away after driving for 30 min+ so when I took it to the shop, there was no noise to complain about.
I changed the transmission fluid a year ago. Mechanic thinks wheel bearing, but the sound remains regardless of turning right or not.
If anyone know what this could be, please advise.
