The recall does say "some".
The battery packs serial numbers are tracked by Ford so unlike the engine crank journal polishing problem they know EXACTLY which vehicles these went into at the factory.

Thank you for the information. Looks like estimated failure rate is 1% of PHEV population. Which is still of concern. This is one lottery I don't want to "win."

April, Actually its 1% of 20,484 potentially affected vehicles (basically 205 vehicles), not 1% of all the PHEVs built 10 July, 2019-17 April, 2024.
