But is the remedy actually a replacement part or just software to disable the vehicle from being charged ever again? That's what I'm wondering about, I've gotten the recall notice from Ford so my bad luck Escape once again will the the 'fix' of not allowing me to drive the car. If it means to disable the vehicle if a certain high voltage occurs and then I get it towed to have the battery replaced ok then.

I agree, every time I think this car is going to be ok and work for me there's another recall issued on it. I paid a premium price for this car and I'm so disapointed in it. The trade in value is way down as I've been looking to unload it for a Toyota which is more reliable.

Well I went ahead and traded my 2022 Ford Escape PHEV for a Toyota RAV4. This last recall concerning the battery and were suppose to wait for the 'FIX'....I have had it. Their fixes seem to be software programs, that don't allow one to continue driving the car and to run it on battery if you have a charge. The last recall is about fires and charging the battery.... It's been real.
