I charge my 2023 Escape PHEV to 80% but others have posted that the PHEVs, by default, do not charge to a true 100% meaning there is already a reserve buffer built in. In the summer time I still get about 34-36 mile of range with my 80% charge which is plenty for my city driving.

Another advantage by keeping it always plugged in is that the 12 volt battery will be topped off as needed. This is an advantage that the Escape PHEV has over the Escape HEV.
