Hello Everyone,
Just joined the forum, glad to be able to access all of the information available and appreciate everyone's willingness to educate one another!
I am posting from PA. Recent FE owner:
2013 Ford Escape SEL, 1.6 Ecoboost 4WD. Currently at 27,XXX miles.
I have searched other threads but none quite pinpoints my question (If there is one someone could direct me to, much appreciated).
Questions/Comment:
I am not hearing the turbo "kick in" or as others have noted with the 1.6 "suck air." I seem to hear all engine (which I would expect to hear some with it being a 1.6), but not hearing any turbo/noticing any increase in power other than when there is a change in gear (downshit). Not expecting this to be some high performace machine, but I want to understand whether this is common or possible how to troubleshoot/tell if the turbo is functioning as intended.
As far as the car itself: Beautiful... This is my wife and I's first Ford, and very impressed with the design and features.
Thanks all for any input!
