I hate when these major blogs make glaring mistakes. Towing capacity increases from 2000 to 3500 pounds, which is not true. More engine options now available....we had three engines available in previous model years.

"The Titanium trim comes standard with a new 2.0-liter EcoBoost with a twin-scroll turbo." Mistake 1.5L standard in 2017 Escape Titanium. :(

Isn't the towing capacity bit correct? The 2L engine with tow package is the only configuration that Ford says has towing capacity of 3500 lbs, at least it was as of pre-2017 models.

"The Titanium trim comes standard with a new 2.0-liter EcoBoost with a twin-scroll turbo, the same as the engine in the Ford Edge. The new 2.0-liter, an option on the SE, puts out 245 hp and 275 lb-ft on 93 octane, five more horsepower and pound-feet than the old 2.0-liter EcoBoost. The max tow rating jumps from 2,000 pounds to 3,500."

The pre-2017 2.0L with tow package can tow 3,500 pounds with the tow package. They might be referring to the 1.5L a few paragraphs above, who knows it's difficult to tell.

Ah, I read it as just a list of differences the 2.0L engine gives, in which case it would be correct. I completely see what you're saying though, maybe it's just poorly written.

Actually a 1.5L turbo is standard on the titanium with and option to go up to the 2.0l both of these engines are also revised from the last few years. It's used to be a 1.6L and now it's a 1.5L and the new 2.0 is a twin scroll turbo design. And with the new 2.0 with the towing package you are able to tow up to 3,500 pounds

You where still able to tow up to 3500 lbs with the previous 2.0 and towing package. Nothing has changed there.
