Hi everyone,
First two oil changes on the Escape were covered by the dealer, so 8 months after purchase I found myself spending time under there for the first time. Other than the splash panel, I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to change the oil.
I have another 5K remaining on the factory powertrain warranty, so I was taking a close look at everything while I was changing the oil. Looks like I have a couple of very minor leaks that are starting, one from the transmission, and the other either from the engine oil pan or crank seal.
Both very minor as you can see, and I can't see any signs of dripping. Are these worth pursuing at the dealer to have fixed under warranty? I'm concerned about wasting my time to be told that stuff that minor is normal.
