Greetings everyone,
I have a 2018 Escape SE 4WD. Behind the shifter in the center console is a USB plug and 12V power port. I'd like to remove this panel to see what is behind it in hopes of fitting my ham radio in there for a clean install.
If you have removed this piece or know of instructions to do so, can you point me in that direction? I see plenty of how-tos for accessing and replacing the radio, but this doesn't appear to be accessible that way. It looks like I may have to remove the trim piece around the shifter that includes the cupholders. I don't want to remove any more than I have to; it seems like once you remove a piece, it's never quite the same fit-and-finish as before and results in more squeaks and rattles.
