Welcome to the forum. For my cell phone, I usually just put it in one of the cup holders. I use it mostly for commuting to/from work. So I don't usually need too much storage. For the longer family trips it can be a bit tricky. I'm usually the passenger (wife hates my driving) on the longer trips, so most of the stuff ends up at my feet on the floor.

My phone is suctioned cupped too the window with a RAM mount. My Radar Detector is mounted too the mirror using a Blendmount set up. coins are in a coin holder on the door.

 

I have the upper tray option in the center console, I also built a flip-up shelf (or false bottom) that fits in the console that is about half way up the cavernous hole, this works great for me.

 

I purchased the console shelf (did not come standard on the 13's) I thought it would be great to hold my IPOD/Phone but it rattles like crazy.

 

This much deeper than OEM console tray holds all you mention and more, radically improving the storage utility of the console. I use a 1' USB cable laced through the provided hole to keep my iPhone on charge when driving. Very worthwhile item IMHO, though the price has gone up slightly since I got mine.

It comes with a quiet bottom liner, an added scrap of felt glued in place keeps the 'change holder' quiet on rough roads ;-)

+ It took a mention on this forum for me to re-discover the soft pocket on the console-facing-side of the passenger seat (at least on my leather seats) which I use to keep pens and 3x5 index cards for notes, etc. and as a quiet holder for my house keys (keys in the pocket, fob over the edge to keep 'em from dropping to the bottom).

+ 'Digital' tire gauge rides in the tray on the floor to the left of the driver's seat by the door sill; easy to grab and surprisingly no rattles with it there.

+ Full-sized Mag flashlight wrapped in a facecloth-sized microfiber towel rides quietly in the driver door panel pocket along with a headband (hands-free) LED light.

+ Sunglasses in the provided overhead drop-down holder.

+ Cup holders are for cups ;-)

I'm pretty much a minimalist.

Cell phone goes in the cup holder. I keep a clean vehicle and don't have much stuff in it. I find there there is more than enough storage room for what I need.

 

I hate not having a place to put the phone other than a cup holder....cuz I have cups...soooo I end up with no where to put the phone :/

 

Your does not have the side pocket on the passenger seat? Perfect to grab and go as well as charge via the 110v.

 

For my cellphone I use the pocket on the left side of the passenger seat. Works great and keeps my cup holders free.

 

I got what I think is called a cup holder organizer in one of mine. Basically it sets in the cup holder(don't loose said holder) and gives you places for cards and what not. I put my rewards cards in there and clip my phone and fob to the side of it works great! looks like this:

My June,2014 build date 2014 titanium has the same pocket on the passenger side.

 

my 14 SE cloth seats has it too.

 

The cup holder organizer Qmobile mentioned is made by Rubbermaid and can be purchased on Amazon or at Pep Boys, about $7.00

 

Or at Wal-Mart for bout $5 pretty handy

Here it is on our 2014 SE with cloth seats, with my wife's cell phone as a prop.

 

This isn't a specific photo of my Escape, but this is what mine looks like with the net pocket by the passenger seat.

 

Just to clarify, we are talking about two different "pockets" here. One is sewn in to the upholstery on the upper left side of the front passenger seat. The other is an elastic net pocket on the console itself, in the passenger side.

I just keep a beer koozie in the front cupholder to keep random items in. Sucks but whaddya gonna do..

For my phone, I use a Kenu Airframe mount which clips into the air vent. I love it. (they have other sizes)
