I see in the 2021 Escape the owners manual on page 395 it shows they now call for the larger AGM battery part # BAGM48H6760 (48H6). I have not looked at one at the dealer but if this is true and the book shows that it is, then I would think if folks are still having trouble with Deep Sleep Mode, maybe you can get Ford to upgrade your battery. For some reason they made a change it would appear from 2020 to 2021 to the larger AGM battery. A wise idea Ford, they must have been getting service calls or they have been reading this forum.
Too bad for me that my Ford dealership wouldn't do anything but replace the original battery in my 2020 Ford Escape Titanium Hybrid with the same battery. The car was delivered in early Dec 2020. Within the 3 year warranty, they replaced 2 batteries, one every 12 months or so. When the warranty ran out, it was time for that battery to run down so I had to pay to have it changed and I used a Goodyear center closer to my home. The same thing is happening, which I expected - I was afraid to switch to an AGM battery - but now Goodyear won't replace the battery because they can't get a "fail" reading on the battery, even though I'm getting "System Off to Save Battery" message almost every time I turn the car on. Ford needs to treat their customers better. I will never buy another Ford.

As you know this is a common issue with your model Escape and I would not be inclined to can all Fords because of it but of course it is frustrating.

Apparently there is a Ford software update that many on this forum describe to fix this issue if you do a search.

Otherwise many others just bit the bullet and replaced the battery with the AGM type and that is also well documented here so you should not be wary of changing to the AGM one. It is better than continually buying the OEM weaker battery each time the warranty runs out if you cannot get any satisfaction from Ford.

There are several TSB out from Ford that deal with problems that cause the battery to fail. I went through 3 factory replacement till the got all the TSB performed. No problems for the last year and a half. Read back over this and other stores about how people have dealed with this. Then go to a deal and request that they perform the TSB to fix this problem. Sadly you are outside the three-year warranty. If they won't fix this with the TSBs then call Ford and ask for relief from this problem.
