ABS and Traction control issue

I have a 2013 Escape. After a wheel bearing and brake change, the abs and traction control is stuck on. Coding said it was the left sensor, so changed it, then the mechanic thought that the the axle itself needed to be changed. The abs and traction control is still locked on. Any ideas on what else to look at?

I would guess your mechanic has damaged the sensor when he has replaced the bearing. The new sensor has to be EXACTLY the same part code as the one removed as there are two different types or at least there are here in the UK. Sometimes when ordering by the VIN number, it does not give the correct part number.

If your mechanic does not have the original abs sensor then he will need to check the part number of the one on the other side of the same axle.

I have a 2013 Escape. ABS light on control light on, 4WD temp disabled message, hill assist message.
From what I’ve read here it is likely a sensor, yes?
Is it safe to drive with these conditions until I can get it fixed. My only vehicle
Thanks!

Do you know for certain it was replaced with the correct part. It was ok before it went in the garage and wasn't when it came out so something they did was wrong and the part they replaced it with looks also to be wrong. Just looking at the facts unless coincidence has occurred.

What does the diagnostic show now after replacing the sensor. The new sensor could be faulty. If it's still showing as a left sensor fault then I would swap the sensors over from right to left to rule the sensor out. If it still shows a fault on the left side then I would check the wiring.
