The file is a standard dealer instruction for the work to be done, how it is to be billed, authorized reimbursement process, authorized hours, parts authorized, criterion for various repair variations.
This gets delivered both by mail and electronically to Ford/Lincoln dealers and authorized Ford/Lincoln repair centers (some private and commercial fleets are authorized by Ford to do warranty/recall/CSP repairs in house).

Ours was inspected back in June, welds were okay, they say they ordered the reinforcement kit. Dealer said they would call and schedule appointment for installation of the kit once parts arrived. 5 months later, still have not heard from them. Guess I will give them a call today. I hate being a negative Nancy but why do dealers almost always say one thing and then do another, continual disappointment. Not looking forward to it.

Update: Called dealer for status, said parts were in but they say they cannot schedule me right now as they can only do two a day. I shared it had been 5 months, they said it is all we can do. I asked to speak with the service manager. He shared that this particular issue was a real nightmare for them, seems it is time consuming and they must not like or need the work...? On the plus side, the manager did say he would "work me in" next week and I have an appointment now. While I do have empathy for their nightmare, I am the darn customer. Yes, always could be worse but why is every interaction I have with my dealer like pulling teeth?

Good Luck. Dealer had my car for 7 weeks waiting for a replacement door. Though he did provide me with a loaner, a 2024 Escape. all a $0 cost to me.

How many with this issue have the door make a popping sound when opening and closing?
it starts with the popping, when the popping stops the real damage starts. the popping happens when it breaks loose on one side and the flexing pretty quickly breaks the other side loose.
if you have popping after the door replacement that would be bad news.

With my 20 escape and Explorer both have consumer satisfaction warranties or whatever they call it to replace the Window Control because of the Chrome tips.
Can you please tell me more about your chrome tips? Do you mean that the chrome tips chipped off like mine? Was there a recall for this? Those things are SHARP and no idea what caused the chrome to chip.

Yep mine was popping like 4 times when it opens and closed. Now only 1 time as I can see the part has come completely apart AND my window will only go down a few inches then stops. It's hitting the part that came loose. Mine will go in Monday to replace the door!

I received notice of this CSP last fall but the dealer was not able to schedule an appointment until early January 2025. Their inspection revealed that the door needed to be replaced and one was ordered. I called today after waiting more than 2 months and they tell me now that they have not received any of the doors that they have ordered since September 2024 and have no idea when they can fix the car.

I can live with the broken check arm except that it prevents the window from going down. Does anyone know how to gain access to the obstruction and make a repair that will allow the window to operate? Thanks for your help.

you remove the screw from the door jam end and drop it down to bottom of door. I did this with mine, you have to hang onto the door when you open it as it will swing free and open wider.

I called the dealer again to see if they could fix the window problem (while I continue to wait for a new door) and the Service Advisor said he would look into it but never called back. So, with warmer weather and the travel season approaching, I decided to make repairs myself. There are several good videos on You Tube that show how to remove the inner door panel and the speaker in order to gain access and also how to remove the check arm and then repair and reinstall the door bracket. All the spot welds were already broken so it wasn't too hard to drill out both the door and bracket and replace the welds with machine screws, washers, and lock nuts but rivets would also work. The only somewhat specialized too I used was a 90 degree drill bit adapter. Both the door and the window now operate properly.

I see this as a temporary fix and still hope a new door will be delivered and installed someday but, after already waiting several months, the dealer can't even provide an estimate of when that might be. I would look elsewhere for help with this but I live in an area where the next closest Ford dealer is over 100 miles away. From my experience so far it seems that neither Ford nor the dealer is very interested in fixing this problem despite the SSB and CSP. Do all car companies operate like this these days or is this just a problem with Ford?

I was told I needed a door and the ordered it on a Friday and was in the next week! Just had to wait 2 weeks for the body shop to have the time to do it. Dropped off on a Monday and picked back up Friday!
